MP HR expert, Sheri Heller shared pertinent information that every organization must have, when dealing with family medical leave. Employers often forget or take for granted that their employees may have a lot of family issues dealing with outside of the work environment. Female employees are often mothers, bread winners, counselors to their children. This is sometimes tripled when the mother is a single parent. Coming into this new school year, and still adjusting to life after covid, people often feel mental pressures that often go unnoticed. During a zoom conference over the weekend, HR expert Sheri Heller spoke on the importance of employees taking regular leave from work. Parents taking leave from work, does not mean they sit home relaxing, but rather it is a much-needed break to balance work and family, as being a parent has no days off. However it is not just for parents, but workers whose income may not afford them that vacation in a 5-star hotel, but rather give them some mental ease for a few days to get back into work flow, says Heller.
