Political Scientist, Alex "Pawol” Bruno, is of the view that Dominica's equilibrium is threatened by party political fighting, polarization, and incumbency-driven mendicancy. He believes that in order to address current concerns, Dominicans sometimes need to look back. Bruno looked back in an attempt to offer a solution to Dominica's political difficulties and added that an urgent plan is needed to repair the problems. He stated that Dominica's current issues are built around many years of pent-up aggression against people who have always desired and claimed self-determination, but left decades of severe global economic crises. Mr. Bruno stated that as a people, we must be aware of the battles we fight, as it appears that some people are fighting against their own goal for self-determination and they ‘embrace’ those who promote reliance and dependency, while we should be fighting for and as one people.
