Agriculture Minister Reginald Austrie says down for restoration is the productive base for recovery in agricultural livelihoods with US$16M to be spent, as well as the restoration of livelihoods and fisheries system with US$3.3M to be allocated to this, including other critical areas. The funds are coming from the World Bank. He also says new emphasis is going to have to be placed on vegetable production. Agriculture Minister Reginald Austrie Meanwhile Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Agriculture Dr Reginald Thomas says the Government of Dominica has put in its PSIP Program some $27M which will go into various areas of agriculture, in terms of rebuilding and expanding production. He further says the ministry of agriculture has engaged with IICA through its Director General, and Dominica is being used as a global centre for resilience in Agriculture.
