Attorney Gabriel Christian of the Caribbean Agricultural Network remarks on how the organization brought the ambassador to the United States, and president of the state college to the University of Maryland and signed an MOU for agriculture in collaboration with the government and people of Dominica, so that we could have the best practices here. The university dispatched 2 food technologists who instructed farmers on canning and preservation of fruits. With the help of this information, farmers were able to increase the shelf life of their produceand develop new skills in their field. Both parties benefited from the collaboration because it has made it possible to share agricultural knowledge and skills.
