The Ministry of Agriculture in collaboration with the Pesticide control Board is currently in process of collecting inactive Pesticide, and other chemical products used by farmers. Pesticide management in Dominica is handled by the Pesticide Control Board. The Pesticides Control Board (PCB), established under the Pesticides Control Act (PDF 1.1 MB) (No.15, 1974.) (PCA) registers and licensees all pesticides used in Dominica. The Membership of the Board is fixed by the Act as follows: Chief Agricultural Officer; Chief Medical Officer; The Government Analyst. Two other persons, one of whom should not be employed in the public service.Current members of the board are: Mr. Ricky Brumant Director of Agriculture (Ag) Mr Amos Wiltshire Farmer’s Representative (Member) Ms Anna Mary Seraphine Secretary Dr. David Johnson Chief Medical Officer (Member) or Mr Anthony Scotland Ms Theodora Anthony DEXIA’s Representative (Member) Presently they are on a present sensitization drive to educate persons on best practices dealing with chemical waste disposal as well embracing organic practices.
