The Roots Stems and Branches (RSB) Bandare set and ready to raise the Cultural vibrations of the Cadence-lypso Festival this weekend. The Much anticipated explosion of Cadence-Lypso at the Windsor Park Sports Stadium, is set for July 29, 30, & 31, 2022, with each show beginning at 8pm each night and Tickets sold at EC$50 per night or EC $120 for all 3 nights. They revealed on Q95 this morning, that the Band comprises: Frankie "Jazz" Bernard: vocalist, drummer Karl "Kofi" James: vocalist and engineer Linden "Spriggly" Lestrade: keyboardist, drum programmer, vocalist Keith "Maxis' Matthew: percussionist, trumpeter Maximin Powell: lead vocalist, rhythm guitarist David "Da-Dave" Terrell: Bass guitarist, vocalist They shared some of the historical background of their band, theinfluence of the culture behind the music genre that saw them produce albums such as: 1986 - "Alive"on (Cassettes); 1987 - "Break Loose" on (Cassettes);1988 - "Reunion Posse" (Single); 1990 - "Level Vibes" (Cassettes/LP); 1991 - "Watch Ya" (Cassettes/LP); 1992 - "Kadance' " (Cassettes/LP/CD); 1994 - "Big Time" (Cassettes/CD); 1995 - "96Incline Jam"(Cassettes/CD); 1997 - "Bang Tyme"; 1998 - "Tighter Than Ever" This Friday is expected to be one for the history books, with the band set to revive the memories and sounds of the cadence culture that set Dominica’s music on the map.
