Two contracts have been signed for the construction of drainage works in the main village road in Morne Prosper. Prime Minister Roosevelt Skerrit says the government has signed with work ongoing in the Roseau Valley constituency alone, contracts totalling over M$23 just for road works. Meanwhile, Prime Minister has given the firm commitment towards ensuring that the roads are improved, and says once the slope can be stabilized, the reconstruction of the entire roadway up to Morne Prosper will be started. Prime Minister Roosevelt Skerrit Meantime, Skerrit boasts that the funds spent post hurricane Maria in Dominica, came from local government funds, adding that the country’s tax revenue is not enough to do the recovery work which has been done thus far.
