Tourism Minister Sen. Robert Tonge says the committee behind the World Creole Music Festival is trying to make Dominican patrons more aware of the importance of attending events on time.
Some patrons complained that they missed Nigerian Sensation Timaya’s performance on the first night of the WCMF, on Friday28th October 2016. Timaya was scheduled to be the major opening act for night one of the World Creole Music Festival, at 8:30pm. However, many patrons reportedly said they thought the event would have commenced much later than anticipated, but the show started on time at 8pm and Timaya performed at 8:30pm. Senator Robert Tonge says he hopes that at next year’s festival, patrons will arrive at the venue on time, to see their favorite artists from the beginning of the show.
