And UWP Senator Dr. Thompson Fontaine suggests that the recent incident whereby several parliamentarians exhibited food poisoning symptoms, allegedly following a parliamentary dinner on Thursday November 26, should be investigated.

He says people have been known to die from food poisoning, and he assumed that although the food caterers may not necessarily be responsible, the same catering company might be used in the future, so there should be an investigation to properly discover the origin and cause of the symptoms.

Meanwhile, Dr. Thompson Fontaine says the only individual who ate at the parliamentary dinner on the night of Thursday November 26, and has not so far displayed the same symptoms as the others, was Hon. Hector John. He remarked that other parliamentarians who were not affected, were not at the dinner.

Fontaine says he did not eat at parliamentary dinner, and has not been eating at parliamentary dinners to date.
