Twelve of 43 Dominican graduates of the 2016 class of the University of the West Indies (UWI) on Saturday October 8th participated in the institution's 8th presentation of graduates ceremony at the St. Kitts Mariott in St. Kitts.
All twelve were awarded undergraduate degrees. Ms. Cedella Popo (BSc Banking & Finance), Mrs. Andrea Seaman-Williams (BSc Youth Development Work) and Ms. Sharnon Victor (BSc Banking & Finance) graduated with First Class Honours. According to a release, the graduates celebrated their achievements in the presence of Heads of State and Government officials of the English-speaking Caribbean, the Chancellor and Vice-Chancellor, members of the University’s Executive Management, other highly placed University and Government officials, as well as their family and friends. The other Dominican graduates at the Ceremony were Kairann George, Josea Jno Baptiste, Kerwin Luke, Lucia Matthew, Kisyan Pacquette, Sharlene Polydore, Dwight Timothy, Venetta Toussaint and Diane Victor. 698 students officially formed part of the Open Campus class of 2016.
