136 retired public officers will be recognized for service rendered to Dominica over 30 to 40 years11/25/2016 One hundred & thirty-six (136) retired public officers will be recognized for service rendered to the Commonwealth of Dominica, and for their tremendous contribution to the development of the Public Service, spanning over a period of 30 to 40 years. This will take place at the National Public Service Day 2016 Public Service Awards & Recognition Ceremony, which is carded for Friday, December 2nd 2016.
Throughout the year, the lead-up to ‘Public Service Day’ has been filled with activities meant to improve camaraderie, deepen public officers’ acceptance and appreciation of each other, as well as to motivate and encourage the employees to continue to strive for professionalism and excellence. According to a release, awards will be bestowed on various serving public officers for extraordinary performances in the execution of their duties. One (1) award will be bestowed per category as follows: Jerry Augustine Award, Temporary Officer Award, Junior Officer Award, Senior Officer Award, Middle Management Award, Team Award Minister for the Public Service Award (Best Attendance), Winning Theme Award, Senior Management Award, Chief Personnel Officer Award, and finally, Public Officer of the Year Award.
