2016 Stardom Calypso Tent got off to a great start Saturday night at the Sisserou Castle Comfort Venue

​Graced with the presence of the reigning calypso monarch ‘King Caressa’, the 2016 Stardom Calypso Tent got off to a great start on Saturday night at the Downtown Sisserou Hotel.
 
Tent representative Leroy “Waddix” Charlessaid last week, carnival would not be the same without the Stardom Calypso Tent. Patrons turned up in reasonable numbers to show their support for the first 2016 Stardom Tent and for carnival by extension.
 
Over 30 calypsonians performed at the Stardom Calypso Tent season opener on Saturday 2nd January 2016, and the calypsonians - veterans and newcomers alike - did not disappoint. The presence of King Caressa sealed the deal with his usual stage presence and indomitable style. 
 
Backed by a donation of EC$20,00 from Digicel Dominica, Stardom Calypso Tent 2016 is off to a roaring start, and the ‘Real Mas 2016’ is beginning to look “Real Good”.
