23-year old Clarence Lewis of Newtown who pleaded ‘not guilty’ to murdering 75-year old Marvlyn Robinson of Giraudel in 2015, has changed his plea to ‘guilty’.
Marvlyn Robinson died from numerous stab wounds inflicted on several parts of her body at her Giraudel home in the early hours of 3rd November 2012. Bernie Samuel and Clarence Lewis were charged with her murder, and both of them pleaded not guilty. When they appeared before Justice Errol Thomas today Monday 14th March 2016, Samuel pleaded not guilty, but Lewis changed his plea to ‘guilty’ to committing the crime. Lewis is represented by Attorney Dawn Yearwood Stewart. He will be sentenced on 8th April 2016. Meanwhile the prosecution withdrew the indictment against Samuel, and Justice Thomas ordered that he be released from the State Prison on Tuesday 15th March 2016.
