Twenty-six projects will be presented at the 3rd Annual Sagicor Visionaries Challenge in Dominica on May 11th 2016. The Sagicor Visionaries Challenge was conceptualized by Sagicor and the Caribbean Science Foundation, in partnership with the Caribbean Examinations Council (CXC). It targets secondary school students to identify a challenge facing their school or community, using Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM), to develop effective, innovative and sustainable solutions to address the issue identified. General Manager of Sagicor Life Inc, Cheryl Rolle, has described the projects as very innovative. The winner will be rewarded with a trip to Florida along with their teacher. They will also be afforded the opportunity to visit the University of Florida and the Kennedy Space Centre. There will also be cash prizes including 5000 U.S dollars to the winning school as well as first and second prizes.
