61 Dominicans displaced by TS Erika said to have signed contracts for employment under the NEP
Officials report that 61 displaced Dominicans have signed contracts to be employed under the National Employment Program (NEP).
Residents of the petite Savanne Community, one of the hardest hit villages following the passage of TS Erika in August last year, have reportedly made up the majority of those persons who will be employed.
Many of the interns are expected to work in the health services sector as ward aids, domestic workers, orderlies, security officers and grounds men. Emmaline Honore is Coordinator of the NEP.
