A divorce petition which was said to have been filed against Deputy Leader of the United Workers party (UWP) and Roseau South MP, Joshua Francis by his wife, Hedda Dyer Francis, has been reportedly withdrawn.
The divorce documents were leaked and subsequently used on the political platform against Francis by the Dominica Labour Party (DLP). They made several allegations against him, but he labelled them all as political mischief.
Francis has consistently and forcefully denied all of the allegations that had been made against him and has understandably welcomed the withdrawal of the petition. He said God is great, and that he is thankful to his wife for the withdrawal. He added, “I am a God-fearing person…I love my wife and my children, and I will do nothing to harm them”.
