Meanwhile, Marketing Manager of La Flamboyant Hotel, Joseph Daway has called on more hoteliers, tour operators and travel agents to participate in Dominica’s Annual Marketing trade show, which has been held in Martinique for the past five years. Daway said “There should be more hotels from Dominica, and also there should be more travel agents and tour operators, because they are the ones who are booking the rooms. People may also go online and do that, but the travel agents can do so more convincingly”. Daway believes that a stronger presence by travel agents could have resulted in more visitors for Dominica. He says “it’s left to be seen”. He hopes that the activities will increase French visitor arrivals to Dominica.
