AID Bank General Manager Julius Corbett has commended Dominica's Prime Minister Roosevelt Skerrit and the DLP Government, for investing in the Tourism and Agricultural Sectors. Recently the Ministry of Finance's Citizenship by Investment Unit and the AID Bank, signed an agreement for the establishment of two special loan facilities, for the development of the Tourism and Agricultural Sectors. That initiative was announced by Finance Minister Roosevelt Skerrit in his recently presented 2016/2017 national budget. Through a special loan facility for agriculture, Government has made available 10 million dollars at the AID Bank for on-lending to farmers, primarily to address farmers' needs for working capital, and to allow them access to capital for investments in facilities. Additionally, 15 million EC Dollars from the proceeds of the Citizenship by Investment Program, will be made available for on-lending to the hotel sector through the AID Bank, to finance upgrading and expansion of existing hotels and restaurants.
