While a temporary improvement is expected in weather conditions tonight, Dominicans are still being advised to exercise caution as another tropical wave is expected to approach the area by Sunday.
According to a forecast by the Dominica Meteorological Service, "A temporary improvement is expected by tonight, however, a wet pattern is expected to linger across the island chain into early next week with another tropical wave expected to approach the area by Sunday." As a result, persons in areas prone to flooding, landslides and falling rocks are being advised to be vigilant and to exercise caution throughout the period. Meanwhile, moderate seas are expected during the next 24 hours with waves peaking near 7.0ft. Small craft operators and sea bathers are also warned to continue to exercise caution.
