​Prime Minister Roosevelt Skerrit says the time has come to address the situation in the Roseau Health District.Hence, construction of a new Health Center will begin on July 1st, this year. Mr Skerrit noted that Roseau is the health epicenter. He said two additional lots have been acquired adjacent to the existing Roseau Infant Primary School.

​Land purchases for the Loubiere to Bagatelle Road project is expected to be completed by the second quarter of 2022. On average the road will be increased to 5.5meters. Senior Engineer at CREAD Dr Genora Joseph speaking on state owned radio, said an all-inclusive relocation and acquisition plan is being developed by CREAD with supporting partners.

​Meanwhile, Dr Joseph says road works of that nature come with a significant component of disruption to traffic, and a comprehensive traffic management plan has therefore been designed.

Parliamentary Representative for Roseau Central, Melissa Skerrit says she is excited about the Upper Riverbank apartments which are finally completed.51 Roseau families are slated to receive keys to new housing next month. ​Flow Dominica has donated tablets to the Ministry of Education in support of the national drive to provide a device to every child requiring equipment to facilitate home schooling during the pandemic.  
 
Through the Cable & Wireless Charitable Foundation (CWCF), a non-profit organization that serves as C&W Communications' Corporate social responsibility arm, 145 Amazon Fire 7 tablets have been donated to the Ministry of Education to accommodate students in accessing the digital world and further their education. C&W Communications, operator of Flow brands in the Caribbean, established the Foundation to support charitable and community causes in the company's markets. 
 
Jeffrey Baptiste, General Manager, Flow Dominica, acknowledged the work being done by the Ministry of Education in bridging the connectivity gap which exists from students needing devices for learning from home in a situation brought on by the unprecedented COVID-19 pandemic.

​Speaking on her views of her ‘stellar’ performance as a UWP candidate in the 2019 General Elections, former Acting District Education Officer, former teacher and UWP Senator, Ernie Lawrence -  Jno Finn, alleges that she was cheated out of winning the Castle Bruce seat, due to ‘shenanigans’ by high-ranking members of the Dominica Labour Party.
 
Mrs Jno Finn missed victory by only 34 votes. Reports obtained from Dominica’s Electoral Office indicate that the DLP’s Candidate, Octavia Alfred got 842 votes & Ernie Jno Finn got 808 votes.
