Justice Dr Irving Andre examines how the allure of power and wealth can be too great for some individuals to resist, leading them down a path of dishonesty & deceit. He noted that Dominican passport advertisements in Afghanistan and Lebanon showcase political affiliation and support for the government, benefiting individuals who are willing to support the official line. This raises concerns about the impartiality of government institutions and the potential for discrimination against those who do not share the ruling party's views. Andre pointed out that, regrettably, citizens frequently bear the brunt of these actions, as their trust in governmental institutions is damaged and their most basic needs are disregarded. Since the situation on the island is dire and the political leadership is a coalition of individuals enriching themselves, he claims that Dominicans must have a say in how the country will develop in the future. Justice Dr. Irving Andre.
Attorney Gabriel Christian emphasizes how disheartening it is to observe how far down Dominica’s political system has sunk. He observed that it is totally unacceptable that contracts for a minister's mansion were awarded to a foreign company without tender. Christian says this is a blatant indication that corruption has crept in and is ravaging the society like cancer. He claims that Montreal Management Company was hired to construct a mansion, and as a result, they currently hold the largest no-bid contract in the country's history. Referencing earlier times when the radio or newspaper would announce that tenders from suitably qualified people were being sought for the construction of a wall, school, or police station, he questions where the Airport project was advertised. He emphasized that procurement laws are being broken in the country. Attorney Gabriel Christian .

According to the President of the United Workers Party (UWP) Lennox Linton, the upcoming rally on May 31, 2023 will be a battle to start the process of liberating Dominica from the grip of those who have laid claim to the country in the last two decades and believe they can act with complete impunity. According to him, the current economic setbacks are due to the selfish actions of government officials who prioritize their personal interests over the interests of ordinary Dominicans. Linton laments the mistreatment and tyrannical behavior directed towards the citizens of Dominica by those who have taken over the electoral process, and rendered it ineffective in electing a government that reflects the people's choices.
