Attorney Anthony Astaphan is now criticizing writer Pat Aaron for having written what he describes as “another foolish song” for ‘King Dice’. The song entitled “MyDominicaTradeHouse.com” penned by Songwriter Pat Aaron, was released last week, and has become one of the biggest Calypso hits on the airwaves in Dominica.
However, Attorney Anthony Astaphan is apparently not pleased with the hit song, and has heavily criticized the writer Pat Aaron. “You have Pat Aaron writing another foolish song for Dice. Dice is being shackled, imprisoned and “held in bondage by his managers and his songwriters” Astaphan said. He added, “Dice is a phenomenal talent who should be on BET (Black Entertainment Television) and who should be at the highest level of world music, and not just singing the same political nonsense from Pat Aaron,” he stated. But upon receiving details of Astaphan’s statement about him, Aaron shot back verbally at Astaphan, saying “Instead of just running his mouth, why don’t he step up and take Dice to the next level. I have taken him where I can take him, so why don’t he take over from there?” Aaron stated. However, Astaphan’s criticism is getting a great amount of pushback from calypsonians & calypso lovers.
