Kurt Pemberton of Newtown, was been denied bail when he appeared before Magistrate Arley Gill on Monday.
Pemberton is charged with the attempted murder of Bianca Blanchard in November 2015 and has been remanded for the past 11 months. Attorney representing Pemberton, Wayne Norde begged the court to grant him bail by Magistrate Gill said the facts of the case are "disturbing". According to facts of the case, Pemberton entered the workplace of Bianca Blanchard (who was his girlfriend at the time) on Monday November 23rd and chopped her several times on both hands and other parts of her body. Prior to that, in April 2014, Pemberton was ordered to pay Blanchard $9,745 for compensation after pleading guilty to a charge of maliciously damaging several household items belonging to her.
