Bernard Wiltshire reacts to DPP decision to discontinue 5-year-old passport fraud case against him11/30/2016 Photo Credit: TheDominican.net Dominica’s Director of Public Prosecution (DPP) recently wrote an opinion indicating that the state is no longer interested in the matter of an alleged passport fraud court case, involving former DLP Attorney General Bernard Wiltshire, and four (4) others, after 5 years. This means Mr Wiltshire and others accused, are now free to return to their normal lives, after five years of anxiety and aggravation. This matter has been before the courts since 2011, and was thrown out twice for want of prosecution. The so-called scam allegedly occurred between August 25, 2005 and March 31, 2011. It was reported that 40 forged passports were identified by police. However Former Attorney General Bernard Wiltshire says he knew that case would have never pulled through, as the charge brought against him was brought out of malice, and was completely false.
