Boiling Lake re-establishes its heating process after weeks of low levels and cold water temperatures
The Boiling Lake has now re-established its heating process after it was reported the water levels at the lake had changed and become cold.
Over the past few weeks, the Office of Disaster Management in conjunction with the Forestry Division and the Trinidad based Seismic Research Center of the University of the West Indies have been monitoring the situation at the lake.
Research & Monitoring Forest Officer Stephen Durand says although the lake has returned to its natural state, persons are still being advised to stay away from the area.
