Buy Dominica Committee hosts symposium geared towards building strategic alliances in a dynamic business environment

The Buy Dominica Committee last week held a symposium geared towards building strategic alliances in a dynamic business environment, and insights in equity financing.
Buy Dominica is a month long campaign aimed at creating greater awareness of Dominican products and services initiated by the Dominica Coalition of Services, the Dominica Manufacturers Association and the Dominica Export Import Agency in collaboration with the Ministry of Commerce, Enterprise and Small Business Development.
The symposium brought together owners of local businesses offering both goods and services.
Executive Director of the Dominica Coalition of Service Industries, Lester Riviere, admonished business owners to work together to build local businesses in order to assure sustainability.

Buy Dominica is this year being recognized under the theme "Buy local, go global"
Riviere encouraged the business owners to think as strategic alliances as a way forward, in an effort to become competitive and global companies.
He also expressed the need for local business owners to change their mindsets and think global.
