The Band Champ segment of the 2016 NCCU Cadence Lypso show will now take place on Saturday November 12th 2016 at the Forecourt of the Windsor Park Stadium from 8.30pm. The three part event was ended prematurely on the night of Wednesday November 2nd due to inclement weather conditions. The first two segments, the Cadence Lypso song competition and the highly anticipated performance by Music legend Gordon Henderson were successfully executed when the rains tore in accompanied by lightening and thunder. The NCCU has announced that they are committed to showcasing the Band champ segment of the show and are making arrangements to have it held on November 12th 2016 at the Stadium forecourt. Dexter Ducreay, Chairman of NCCU Ltd says patrons will be treated to a night of great music, with bands at the Forecourt of the Windsor park. Ducreay says patrons who may have purchased tickets for the show should understand that these tickets are no longer valid. However, persons with access passes to the last show will be able to enter using these passes. These include media personnel, technicians etc. A fee of $5 will be charged at the gates. Each band will play for 45 minutes, and will play 2 original songs, one piece from the late Jeff Jo, and the rest of their performance will be a selection of Cadence Music. Ti Orkest won the competition last year.
