As Part of the 10th European Development Fund (EDF) Project for capacity building within CARIFORUM, the Ministry of Trade, will be hosting a training seminar funded by the EU on Competition Law and Policy Wednesday, April 27, at the Garraway Hotel in Roseau.
According to a release, the programme is designed to raise awareness of Competition Law and Policy, and build institutional capacity in Dominica in order to implement the CARIFORUM – EU Economic Partnership Agreement (EPA). Stakeholders in this venture include the DAIC, NCCU, Dominica Employers Federation (DEF), Association of Medical Professionals, the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry responsible for Telecoms, national telecoms regulatory commission (NTRC) and numerous others. The Ministry of Trade, Energy, and Employment says it welcomes the collaboration between CARIFORUM and the EU to deliver this training initiative and looks forward to future partnerships in the area of Competition Law and Policy.
