During the UNDP Future Tourism Grant Funding Handing Over ceremony on Wednesday Morning, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Discover Dominica Authority, Colin Piper provided remarks on behalf of Tourism Minister, Denise Charles. Piper said the minister expressed gratitude to the United Nations Development Programme on behalf of the government, acknowledging the organization as a longstanding developmental partner. The minister further emphasized the crucial and timely contributions made by the UNDP towards supporting vulnerable sectors, such as tourism. In the statement, it was indicated that as Dominica's tourism products continue to evolve and reach a level of maturity, the ministry's primary emphasis in both the short-term and medium-term, pertains to endeavors related to enhancing products and promoting accessibility.
