Chief Executive Officer of the National Cooperative Credit Union, Aylmer Irish, has hailed as important the launch of the Eastern Caribbean Central Bank's Financial information month 2016. Dominica on Monday joined the other Eastern Caribbean states of the currency union in the official launch of the month. Financial information month is a regional, financial, economic business and entrepreneurial campaign executed in the Eastern Caribbean which has been observed by the ECCB since 2002. The ECCB partners with local government, financial and other institutions in an effort to provide financial information to the general public. And CEO of the NCCU Ltd Aylmer Irish says the activities of Financial Information Month are meant to increase financial knowledge of the general public. Irish says this falls in line with the aim of the NCCU. Financial information month will include activities such as radio programs, business symposiums, financial tops aired on local media, and sessions with different primary schools.
