A number of changes are being made within the Tourism Industry to ensure greater success in the Cruise season.
The 2016/2017 cruise ship season officially opened in Dominica Wednesday.
The MV Celebrity Summit of Celebrity Cruises made the first cruise call for the season at the Roseau Cruise Ship Berth.
The day's activities included cultural entertainment at the Roseau Cruise Ship Berth and at the Trafalgar Falls site from 8:30am.
The media spoke with DASPA CEO Benoit Bardouille.
Bardouille says a 15% increase in tourist arrivals is expected for the season.
He says greater emphasis has been placed on the services being delivered to visitors, in an effort to boost the country's tourism scores.

Meanwhile, Product Promotions Manager at the Discover Dominica Authority Kathleen Cuffy-Jno Jules says the DDA has ensured all stakeholders have made the necessary preparations to welcome visitors.
