Commerce Minister Roslyn Paul pledges Government support towards creative arts industry on island5/31/2017 Minister for Commerce, Enterprise & Small Business Development Roslyn Paul has pledged the Government's continued support towards the creative arts industry on the island. Paul made these remarks at the opening ceremony of the inaugural Caribbean Performing Arts conference Tuesday at the Fort Young Hotel. The 2-day conference is being held under the theme ‘Imagination+Belief+Creativity+Innovation = Creative Entrepreneurship’. Paul says funding has been made available to further enhance Dominica's creative arts. The concept which was conceptualized by the Caribbean Performing Arts Federation will engage participants on the business management and legal aspects of the music industry, in recognition of the need to bridge that gap, from talented hobbyist to creative commercial performer. The conference focuses on the development of music, utilizing the skills of Paris based Dominican musical legend Gordon Henderson, supported by regional certified Financial Education Instructor Judy McCucheon.
