Consumer Protection & Competition Law Consultant Carl Buik retained to engage with stakeholders8/30/2016 The Ministry of Trade, Energy & Employment in collaboration with the Caribbean Development Bank (CDB) under the CSME standby facility funded by the EU, is hosting a 20-day worship with stakeholders, to discuss a proposed consumer protection law and policy. The workshop which was launched on Monday, is part of the US $222,843 CDB funded project building capacity, for effective consumer protection in Dominica. The workshop will cover areas including the importance of consumer protection, elements of consumer protection laws as well as address the challenges faced in new agencies in regulating staff skills and resources.
