A partnership which began in 2012 as a medium for sourcing football gear to a Dominican Academy for high quality training in football is growing stronger than ever. This is the fifth year of the partnership between Potterville Youth Football Academy and consulting organization, Crispin Gregoire & Associates of New York City. According to them, their partnership has been “nothing short of success”.
The Potterville Youth Football Academy has received annual donations which have contributed to equipping the it with the material it needs in 2017, and the focus will be on expanding the Academy’s capacity to share resources with other Academies and schools on island, as well as establishing an internet café for the members of the Academy, and supporting football tournaments. Crispin Gregoire & Associates stated “We are indeed very happy with the positive outcomes from this first phase of our partnership with the Pottersville Youth Football Academy. Our preliminary goal of providing basic material needs to enhance the football skills training program has been realized, and what is most commendable is the evolving reality of sharing these resources with others footballers in training. It is gratifying to see how a small amount of resources can make a critical difference, and how it has contributed to lifting the spirit of the Pottersville Youth involved with the Academy, & positively fostered their greater interest in football. More importantly, this partnership has evolved into a wholesaling framework for support to football development on Dominica. We look forward to continuing to provide resources to aid the unwavering efforts of the many volunteers who are determined to keep football training alive.”
