DASPA expect Phase I of work on Douglas Charles Airport runway & taxi area to be completed in August
Phase one of the rehabilitation works of the runway and taxi area at the Douglas Charles Airport could be completed by month's end.
This was revealed by the Chief Executive Officer of the Dominica Air & Sea Ports Authority, Benoit Bardouille.
Over $40million dollars damages reportedly was inflicted on the airport and runway from the passage of Tropical Storm Erika in August 2015.
A river defence wall will also be constructed to protect the runway.
