DASPA Manager advises by-pass at Cabanis Valley Road expected to be completed within 4 weeks1/11/2017 The by-pass at the Cabanis Road is expected to be completed within the next 3-4 weeks. A landslide recently claimed a portion of the road, east of the Trafalgar/Copthall junction prompting road closure in that area. Reports are that half of the road up to 100ft fell into the river. And Chief Executive Officer of Dominica air & Sea ports authority Benoit Bardouille says he's been given the assurance that the by-pass will be completed within a month's time. Bardouille spoke on behalf of Tourism Minister Robert Tonge during a welcome ceremony which was held aboard the MS Nieuw Amsterdam Tuesday morning. The 2nd class cruise ship operated by Holland American Line made its inaugural call to Dominica yesterday at the Roseau Cruise Ship Berth. Bardouille says the Ministry of Tourism is working to improve the products being offered to visitors coming to Dominica.
