The Dominica Cooperative Societies League Ltd Thursday awarded full scholarships to 4 students attending high school in the new school year. For almost 2 decades the DCSL has awarded 28 scholarships to students based on need, and 30 on merit, to assist in their attending high school. Every year, the league awards 1 scholarship based on merit- the Joffre Robinson scholarship, and one based on need the Sr Alicia Scholarship. However; this year additional Scholarships were awarded based on need - Karissa George, Orlandin Dinard, Jaheim Eusebe and Joshua St Jean are the recipients of the scholarships. Manager of the League Aaron Dalrymple says the league is keen on the education of young people and the development of Dominica. Dalrymple says the league is doing its part to meet its social responsibility in Dominica including aiding persons who were affected by TS Erika.
