The Discover Dominica Authority (DDA) in collaboration with the Caribbean Tourism Organization is hosting a two-day session on “Delivering Quality Service” for certified tour guides.
The Programme which is being facilitated by Sharon Banfield-Bovell from the Caribbean Tourism Organization focuses on communication and customer relations, and it is expected that participants will have a better understanding of their roles and responsibilities as tour guides in the tourism industry. According to a release, being members of the Caribbean Tourism Organization, Dominica is afforded the opportunity in the development of its human resources. And the DDA says it recognizes the need to strengthen the customer service aspect of the region’s human resource, and with growing competition from similar destinations, it is felt that the delivery of excellent service is one way in which the Caribbean and more importantly Dominica can increase its share in the markets to which we promote.
