The Dominica Hotel & Tourism Association (DHTA) Board of Directors and members have extended their condolences to the family and friends of the British visitor who lost her life as a result of a vehicular accident in the Antrim Valley on Wednesday November 9, 2016.
The DHTA commends the leadership of the Ministry of Tourism & Urban Renewal in coordinating the destination’s response to this unfortunate incident, and in particular, the timely and professional services of the first responders, Dominica Police Force, Dominica Fire & Ambulance Service and the staff of the Princess Margaret Hospital, in administering the best possible care and comfort to all those affected. DHTA further commends the Office of the Prime Minister, Ministry of Health & Environment, Discover Dominica Authority and other relevant agencies of the State, the British High Commission, as well as relevant private sector entities, including the management of P&O Cruises and the ships agent, for their respective roles in partnering with the Ministry of Tourism & Urban Renewal, following the incident.
