Astaphan served for two years in the role of Executive Vice President, after first joining the Association as a Consultant and Board member.
DHTA President Arienne Perryman in a release noted, Astaphan brought a high level of professionalism and passion to the role, which served the Association well.
Astaphan described her time with the DHTA as an invaluable experience, marked by personal and professional growth, and says she is confident in the strength and viability of the Association, as the unified voice for tourism, in Dominica’s private sector.
Astaphan will reportedly play a key role in recruiting her successor, as well as with the orientation and handover process. The vacancy has been posted, and a search committee is said to be in place, allowing adequate time for a smooth transition before Astaphan leaves.
