Director of Agriculture, Ricky Brumant, says building resilience against the effects of climate change and ensuring Dominica's agricultural policies are climate proof, are necessary measures to be undertaken here. The Ministry of Agriculture in collaboration with the Inter-American Institute for Cooperation on Agriculture (IICA) Tuesday launched a 2-day training conference for policy makers within the ministry of agriculture and fisheries. Director of Agriculture Ricky Brumant Agriculture and Climate Change Specialist of IICA Daniella Medina is facilitating the sessions for the 2 days. Medina says the program will focus mainly on applying the methodology of building resilience in agriculture in Dominica while analysing the agricultural sector.
