Dominica Cadet Corps to host major fund raising event entitled “Brass in the Park” on Saturday 2nd April

The Dominica Cadet Corps plans to host major fund raising event entitled “Brass in the Park”, on Saturday 2nd April 2016, from 3 pm at that Windsor Park forecourt. The organization hopes to use the proceeds to help fund its operations.
 
The activity will be a family event. There will be bouncing castles for the children, domino games for men, and eats and drinks will be available on sale. Tickets cost $5 dollars for children and $10 dollars for adults.
 
The Cadet Corps was established to develop qualities such as discipline, equity, democracy, civic duty, leadership among the country’s youth, and has operated in Dominica for many decades. Project Coordinator Matilda Popo says the Corps wants to teach the youth to raise their funds the right way.
 
She added “We’re gonna have the Dominica Cadet Corps band, which will give you something phenomenal, as well as Legacy Band, Swinging Stars, Danger Band, Ti Orkest Band; and we may also have a surprise band playing at the event”.
 
Popo concluded by saying, “I’m calling on everybody to support the young people; they have talent and good potential, but without your support it is almost impossible for them to reach where they would like to reach”.
