The Dominica Football Association (DFA) has named its 20-member squad for the CFU Men’s Caribbean Cup, which takes place later this month. Three (3) overseas based players, three (3) newcomers and three (3) players have been selected by the technical staff, to represent Dominica.
The new comers are Andrez Joseph, Gylles Mitchel and Eustace Marshall. The overseas based players are Julian Wade, Anfernee Frederick and Briel Thomas. Meanwhile, Euclid Bertrand, Kelrick Walter and Errol Blaize return to national squad. The rest of the side is made up of Glenson Prince, Raleighson Pascal, Malcolm Joseph, Hubert Prince, Egbert Walsh, Dalton Bannis, Chad Bertrand, Travis Joseph, Sidney Lockhart, Randolph Peltier, and Delroy Parker. The technical staff include Shane Marshall- head coach, Ellington Sabin- assistant coach, Keith Prosper-fitness trainer, Courtney Challenger- goalkeeper coach, Michael Joseph-Manager, and Albert Noel-medics personnel. The team leaves Dominica on Wednesday March 23rd for the British Virgin Islands, where they will take on the BVI on Saturday 26th March. They are expected to return to the Island on Sunday 27th March. Two days thereafter, on Tuesday 29th March, they come up against Martinique at the Windsor park stadium, from 7pm. Dominica will participate in group seven (7) of the competition, with Martinique and the British Virgin Islands. Two teams from each group will advance to the next round.
