Dominica Freedom Party congratulates the St. Lucia UWP on its victory in the June 6th General Election

​The Dominica Freedom Party has sent its congratulations to newly elected Prime Minister Allen Chastanet and his St. Lucia United Workers Party (UWP), on their victory at the polls in the general election held on Monday, June 6, 2016.
 
The Executive of the DFP says the results suggest that the people of St. Lucia are taking great interest in the politics and governance issues of their country.
 
The Feedback coming out of St. Lucia indicates that the electorate of St. Lucia responded to a positive campaign, which took into account their situation, which was well articulated by the United Workers Party.
 
“The DFP welcomes the return of the St. Lucia United Workers Party to government, and believes as members of the Caribbean Democrat Union (CDU), we will continue to work together to advance good and accountable government, democracy, the rule of Law, and foster a people centered empowerment and development approach, at all levels in the region”.
