Dominica Manufacturers Association President Severin McKenzie says sector plagued with challenges
President of the Dominica Manufacturer's Association, Severin McKenzie says the manufacturing sector in Dominica is plagued with a number of challenges.
McKenzie was speaking following an initiative by Prime Minister and Minister for Finance Roosevelt Skerrit, to make available financial support at the Aid Bank for local manufacturers.
He says while he welcomes the initiative by the government, they are still faced with other serious challenges.
McKenzie says the manufacturing sector here is also confronted with issues of technology, machinery and standards, among other things.
