​President of the Dominica Manufacturers Association John Robin voiced concerns about the sluggish pace of the electoral reform process, emphasizing the urgent need for acceleration, given the prolonged consultations in that regard in Dominica. He expressed optimism about involving a broader cross-section of the population, particularly from the private sector, to enhance input. Mr Robin stressed the importance of making the reform meaningful by incorporating the desires of the Dominican people, highlighting the necessity of a more inclusive and representative approach in shaping the critical reforms.

​Robin elaborated that it is crucial to implement measures beyond concentrating solely on startups. He emphasized the importance of evaluating and supporting companies that are already viable and prepared. By doing so, there is an opportunity to boost exports and contribute positively to the country's GDP.
