Prime Minister Skerrit on Friday issued a call for businesses employing ten persons and more to mobilise a Hurricane Matthew Relief and Recovery Exercise within their individual establishments to assist Haiti and The Bahamas.
The two islands were both dealt a severe blow during the passage of Hurricane Matthew last week. Pinard Byrne says in the case of The Bahamas, they are still conducting assessments of need. However, she says if persons wish to send cash to The Bahamas the Dominica Red Cross can facilitate that process.
