Dominica is seeking to create market shares for its agricultural produce through product branding.
This as a Fresh Produce National Brand Stakeholder workshop got underway Friday.
The workshop is one of the first steps being taken as the world service university of Canada seeks to implement the promotion of regional opportunities for produce through enterprise and linkages, the PROPEL project here in Dominica in an effort to create branding for Dominica's fresh produce.
Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Agriculture, Harold Guiste, says proper branding will help Dominica to market the products grown here.
Guiste believes Dominica can become easily identified through its fresh produce since the nature isle brand is synonymous with this.
