A church service on Monday was among activities to officially mark the 40th Anniversary of the Dominica Social Security.
Thomas says while the company is continuing to impact the lives of Dominicans and the country it must be sustained.
The ceremony was also attended by the President Charles Savarin and Mrs Savarin, members of Cabinet and the Opposition.
Several employees, organizations and self-employed persons were recognized at Monday’s ceremony. The DSS also acknowledged Janet Joseph, one of the first employees of the Dominica Social Security.
Meanwhile, Prime Minister Roosevelt Skerrit says the DSS has played its part in shaping the Dominica landscape. He was delivering an address to officially mark the 40th Anniversary of the DSS Monday.
