Dominica's Prime Minister, Roosevelt Skerrit, has extended condolences to the families , victims and the Brussels Government in recent terror attacks in Brussels, Belgium. In a post on his official Facebook page, PM Skerrit said " I extend condolences to the families of the victims and the Government in the Brussels attacks. Dominica condemns the attacks and opposes all forms of terrorism." PM Skerrit's statement comes following comments from Former Government Minister, Atherton Martin, expressing disappointment in CARICOM for not publicly sympathizing with the Belgium people. Tuesday's terror attacks killed 31 people and injured 270. Meanwhile DAT President, Celia Nicholas, says the union sympathises with the victims in the Brussels attack. She made particular mention of Educational international, a global union federation of teachers' trade unions based in Brussels, Belgium. Nicholas says the federation has assisted Dominica tremendously especially following TS Erika. Nicholas made the remarks on state radio Thursday.
